Bug#1069495: wacomtablet: FTBFS on armhf: dh_auto_test: error: cd obj-arm-linux-gnueabihf

2024-07-03 Thread Marco Mattiolo

Hi Patrick,

I do not want to put too much burden on the Qt/KDE team. I've seen in
the past weeks Qt6, then KF6 and now Plasma6 steadily being packaged and
uploaded into experimental, making it easier and easier for me to test
the plasma-mobile_6.x packaging. I know it's a big effort, so big thank
you for that!

When you estimate it being matter of one month or less, I definitely
prefer to have Mobian plasma-mobile weekly images' building to fail for
a few weeks more (users still have the pre-time64-migration images
available, then they can upgrade from there) and let you continue with
Plasma6 packaging, in order to get plasma-mobile_6.x available sooner
for Mobian users.

Kind regards

Marco

but maybe it's just better to wait for the new version of wacomtablet
(6.1.0-1 now in experimental) to be uploaded to sid and check how that
new version behaves.

I don't have the resources to dig into why the tests are failing, but I
could disable them for the time being if wacomtablet is a blocker for
something right now.

We will definitely revisit this once the new version in exp (now part of
Plasma 6) can be compiled there.

I can reproduce this on m6a.large and r6a.large instances from AWS,
but randomly.

(See attach). The test which fails is not always the same.

If you need an instance to reproduce this, please contact me privately.

Bug#1033212: plasma-mobile fails to start on PP after kwin's commit eef9bd5c with "libkwinglutils: Shaders are not supported"

2023-03-19 Thread Marco Mattiolo

Package: kwin

Version: 4:5.27.2-1

Severity: grave

Tags: patch,upstream,fixed-upstream

Hi and thank you for maintaining kwin in Debian!

With 5.27.2 release, plasma-mobile does not start on Pine64 Pinephone
and similar low-spec devices any more. It worked ok with kwin 5.26.90.

I've already reported this issue upstream [1] and it seems this got
fixed in 5.27.3 with commit [2]: please consider cherry-picking that
commit into Debian, in order to have plasma-mobile working again in
bookworm.

Severity of this bug is grave as "makes the package in question unusable
or mostly so": please find in the upstream bug report a photo [3] of my
PP when starting plasma-mobile on top of kwin actually in bookworm.
Nothing can be used, only a white rectangle on black background is
shown: that is, this bug makes plasma-mobile completely unusable on some
devices in the upcoming stable release.

Kind regards

Bug#1026159: okular: Bogus memory allocation size error - some pages not displayed

2022-12-25 Thread Marco Mattiolo

Hi,

I am not the package's maintainer and maybe I am not so much into the
topic, but this bug report is barely understandable: what is being reported?

Is this package failing to build from source? How is it being built?
What's the error message?

Or is this about okular failing to display some pages of a specific PDF
document? On which okular version? Does this deserve a serious severity?

If you are facing two issues, please file two separate bug reports...

Kind regards

Marco

Need help in debugging

2014-01-14 Thread Marco Mattiolo

Hi, and thank you all for maintaining Qt-Kde in Debian!

I'm randomly experiencing a bug with Kde on my Debian testing:
I right-click on desktop, select Leave (the one with red icon) and
nothing happens,

i.e. the logout/turn off/restart menu doesn't show up...
In those rare cases, selecting leave from K-menu didn't work either:
I had to open a terminal and halt as root... :(

As I don't know which component of Kde isn't (sometime) working, I don't
know
how to debug it (looks to me like in
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging

is teached how to debug a crash, not a non-working button...).

Could you please point me to some doc regarding how to debug this?

Thank you!
Marco

Upstream needs the patch submitted via ReviewBoard [0]. If you want to help,
please contact naur [1] and ask him to send the patch trough it. Once that
gets done, please post a comment on KDE's bug so maintainers can accept it.
Once they do accept it, I'll be happy to add it to our packages.

Dear Maintainer,
first, thank you for maintaining kmplot in debian.

Wheezy's kmplot (4.8.4 now in unstable) doesn't have the create plot

these icons.

Getting XDMCP to work with wheezy's kdm

2012-06-28 Thread Marco Mattiolo

(a similar mail was spam-filtered/didn't appeared on list on 21/6/2012)

Hi, and thank you all for maintaining Qt/KDE in Debian!

I'm logging via XDMCP to my wheezy workstation (kdm-4.8.4) from a
squeeze laptop (kdm-4.4.5) via LAN.

Sadly, I'm not able to do the same from a wheezy laptop (kdm-4.8.4)
on the same LAN: kdm restarts when I get to XDMCP chooser.

Could you please include this fix (which I think is related)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281862
into one of the next upgrades of kdm into wheezy?

Being wheezy nearly frozen, should I file a bug report?
Would it help getting this fix into debian?

Thank you
Marco Mattiolo

Thank you all, Qt/KDE maintainers!

2011-04-28 Thread Marco Mattiolo

Hi there.
First, thank you all for packetizing and supporting KDE apps in Debian.
It's a huge work, and Debian is getting better day by day, because of you.

I installed kde 4.6.2 from experimental-snapshots repo on my wheezy_64
system. It's really faster and more performing than kde 4.4!
The only problem I have, is that it doesn't power off when I click the
shutdown entry, it gets back to the console login, and then I have to
manually shut it down with a init 0 command.

If it's an already known (or non-KDE related) issue, feel free to ignore
this.

Looking forward at kde4.6 coming into official debian repos, good luck! ;)
