DebianForums Web Site Launch Help!
Hi, I started www.debianforums.org with one thing in mind and that was to give back to the Debian community, which has treated me so well over the past. I hope DebianForums grows and helps people find the answers to their questions and a general place for debian users to communicate. Although I am going to need some help getting it on its feet. I need traffic and posts to help me shape it into the perfect place to find answers to Debian questions. I had the same probelm but was whenever i swich to my nvidia driver and glx kde and gnome would both have problems launching programs. Kde gave me the specific errors u are getting. Hi, I ran into the same problem last night and here is how i fixed it. 1. I searched google for an older libfontconfig1.deb so i can downgrade mine here is the address of where i got it from ( http://verbum.org/~walters/debian/local/i386/libfontconfig1_2.0-2_i386.deb ) tip use wget :P 2. I did dpkg --force-downgrade libfontconfig1_2.0-2_i386.deb 3. If u get a dependency error about libexpat1 then apt-get install libexpat1 and then do step 2 again. I think u have enoph info to fix it even if those are not the exact steps. Upgrade from kde 3.0.4 to 3.1 rc5 on unstable? help!
Hi well i am wondering what is the process to upgrade to kde 3.1 since i did an apt-get upgrade and it messed up my qt packages and now everything in kde 3.0.4 crashes. Please help! thanks.
