Re: KMail auto-killing the first receipt-account in the list??????
Probably the file usr/share/debian-edu/networked-kde3/share/config/kmailrc is responsable for this. I had a similar behavior and saw that this config file is also read by kmail. So I simply deleted this because I don't know if the package debian-edu-config can be deleted in min configuration. The kmailrc file is in this package. Johnny Jan Schledermann schreef: I am using the following combo: KDE 3.5, Kontact 1.2 and Kmail 1.9.1 on a Sid system with my own kernel. The problem described below was also present on my previous KDE 3.4.3 + whatever version of kmail was current then. What happen is: Every time I start up kmail or kontact, the first account, in the list of receiving accounts, has been deleted from Kmail. I add it again. It is now the last account in the list. Upon closing/starting kmail/kontact, the "new" number one of the list (the previous no 2) as been removed. As the problem has persisted through an upgrade, I am am quite sure one of the configuration files has been screwed up. But which one and where? 1) Has anybody out there experienced this and found a cure? 2) Can somebody please direct me to some detailed documentation on the kmail filestructure and fileformats, as I haven't been able to find any? Kmail settings of first account change automatically
Hallo, I'm using Kmail 1.9.1. There is something wierd going on. I have several accounts and the first one of the list seems to change without mine intervention. It is an imap setting and the serversettings change to server: postoffice, port: 993. When I change these setting they are remeberd for the current session but not for the new one. k3b: cannot copy cd
Hello, Sinds some time, don't know exactly when, I cannot copy a cd. I have a writer and a reader installed and both are recognised. In the window 'cd-copy' the button 'start' is disabled. The work arround I have is to mount the cd and drag the info to a project. For a data cd this is no problem. But for a music cd it is while I would like to do a direct copy and not decode - encode the music files. Is there something I should do or is it a bug? I didn't found the bug on debian bugtracking. system sounds broken?
Hello, Since a few days I have no system sounds. Are they broken in unstable? They used to work in the previous version (3.3.1) Can anyone confirm this? Sound is working and arts also. The testsound is played normally and other programs as noatun and amorak are able to play the system sounds from /usr/share/sounds Ogg and wave files. With system notifications these sounds are not audible. I saw the posibility to use an external player. Also that didn't work. Is there an requirement which is not automatically installed? Therefor this addition KDE version 3.0.5a from the woody branch (deb http://kde.us.themoes.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0.5a/Debian/woody/ ./) That include the 3.0.5 version of qt. After I updated the x-server certain fonts aren't available in kde. They are represented by a empty box. Could it be a problem with the fontserver? But then it is strange that mozzila renders correctly. In the font configuration box some fonts are followed by brackets [xft] for instance. And those are not presented correct. What do I have to do? Mozilla stil renders the html document correct. -- Johnny Geling
