¿Can it be added in the same usr/share/bug/amarok/presubj?

Sure, but libxine1-ffmpeg is supported to get installed by default:

$ aptitude why amarok libxine1-ffmpeg
i amarok Depends phonon-backend-xine | phonon-backend
i phonon-backend-xine Depends libxine1 (= 1.1.8)
i A libxine1Depends libxine1-plugins (= 1.1.16.3-1) | libxine1-
misc-plugins (= 1.1.16.3-1+b3)
i A libxine1-pluginsDepends libxine1-ffmpeg (= 1.1.16.3-1)

Well, it seems it's not exactly the case depending the way/order some
packages were installed on the machine :

ataz [1006] ~ aptitude show libxine1
Paquet : libxine1
...
Dépend: libxine1-plugins (= 1.1.16.3-1) | libxine1-misc-plugins (=
1.1.16.3-1+b2), libxine1-x (= 1.1.16.3-1+b2), libxine1-console (=
1.1.16.3-1+b2)
Recommande: libxine1-ffmpeg

ataz [1008] ~ aptitude show libxine1-misc-plugins
Paquet : libxine1-misc-plugins
...
Dépend: libasound2 ( 1.0.18), libbz2-1.0, libc6 (= 2.3.6-6~),
libflac8, libfontconfig1 (= 2.4.0), libfreetype6 (= 2.2.1),
libglib2.0-0 (= 2.12.0), libgomp1 (= 4.2.1), libice6 (= 1:1.0.0),
libjack0 (= 0.116.1), libjpeg62, liblcms1 (= 1.15-1), liblqr-1-0 (=
0.1.0), libltdl7 (= 2.2.6a), libmagickcore2, libmagickwand2, libmng1
(= 1.0.3-1), libmodplug0c2 (= 1:0.7-4.1), libmpcdec3, libogg0 (=
1.0rc3), libpulse0 (= 0.9.14), libsm6, libsmbclient (= 3.0.24),
libspeex1 (= 1.2~beta3-1), libtheora0 (= 0.0.0.alpha7.dfsg), libtiff4,
libvorbis0a (= 1.1.2), libwavpack1 (= 4.40.0), libx11-6, libxext6,
libxine1-bin (= 1.1.16.3-1+b2), libxt6, zlib1g (= 1:1.1.4)

So, if I'm right, having apt configured not to install 'recommends' and
having libxine1-misc-plugins installed for some reason you may not have

libxine1-plugins and then libxine1-ffmpeg installed.

What about libxine1-ffmpeg package? Is it installed?

That was not installed.
I installed it and it fixed the issue.

Thanks!

Amarok 2.2.0 plays mp3s in an instant

2009-10-01 Thread Cade Robinson
I just upgraded to amarock 2.2.0 and when I try to play a mp3 they
play in an instant.
No sound plays but the progress bar flashes / fills and amarok moves to
the next song.

Waves play but not mp3s.
The same mp3s were played in 2.1 fine and they play with mplayer fine.

Anyone else getting this issue?

Thanks.
I checked that I had xine and that is what I have.
dpkg -l | grep phonon
ii libphonon-dev 4:4.5.2-2 Qt
4 Phonon library development files
ii libphonon44:4.5.2-2 Qt
4 Phonon module
ii phonon4:4.5.2-2 Qt
4 Phonon module metapackage
ii phonon-backend-xine 4:4.3.1-4
Phonon Xine 1.1.x backend

an xine is setup as the back end.

I tried to remove all amarok* files from my .kde dir and it still
happens.
