Re: Annoying delay at shutdown / reboot
Hey, I made another scan through my journal and saw, that kglobalaccel is not the source of the 2 min break. At least for myself I seen the 2min breaks in logs comes from at-spi2-core [1]. At least the analyses of my logs are telling me that the restarting and failure of kglobalaccel is done within 1-2 secs. And your log samples also telling, that the restart is not taking longer than 2secs. Sure the restarting is annoying but it does not seem like the root of the 2min break. 22:13:38 dbus-daemon[5399]: [session uid=1000 pid=5399] Successfully activated service 'org.kde.Shutdown' [... 11 secs later] 22:13:51 systemd[5372]: gpg-agent.service: Consumed 21.189s CPU time. 22:15:21 systemd[5372]: at-spi-dbus-bus.service: State 'stop-sigterm' timed out. Re: Annoying delay at shutdown / reboot
Hey, You are right, It is also not fixed for me. I'm not sure how this complete thing is handled. For me it seems like systemd is taking care about restarting, properly because kglobalaccel does not stop with exit code 0. Well this patch will only been active after restart, as the current service is not restarted if you update the package, because it is a user process. User processes are not restarted when upgrading the corresponding package. So you should give it another try restarting your computer. hefee signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Annoying delay at shutdown / reboot
Hi Sandro and Jon, I upgraded to libkf5globalaccel5:amd64 version 5.77.0-3 from Debian/unstable. Indeed, the "annoying delay" (90 secs of time saving @ reboot/shutdown) is gone. Thanks. Regards, - Sedat -
Re: Annoying delay at shutdown / reboot
Hey, I see this issue for a while already but never found time to search for a bugreport/solution. With the link you proposed and follow to the bugreport https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429415 I've seen that there is a proposed patch. I included this patch in 5.77.0-3, hopefully this makes the shutdown fast again. hefee -- On Montag, 28. Annoying delay at shutdown / reboot
Since the last updates of two SID boxes, the shutdown hangs on both with the message: "a stop job ..." journalctl -b -1 shows: Dec 28 03:14:21 xxx kglobalaccel5[3448]: qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display :0 Dec 28 03:14:21 xxx kglobalaccel5[3448]: qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
