Thanks for the link :)
System is OK again, after installing the kdelibs-crypto upgrade.
Thanks to you and Matt Zimmerman for finding and fixing the problem.
Second monitor works as it should also.

Installed kdelibs versions for the record:
heim:~# COLUMNS=90 dpkg -l kdelibs\* |grep ^ii
ii kdelibs-dev 2.2.2-13.woody.8 KDE core libraries (development files)
ii kdelibs3 2.2.2-13.woody.8 KDE core libraries (runtime files)
ii kdelibs3-bin 2.2.2-13.woody.8 KDE core binaries (binary files)
ii kdelibs3-crypto 2.2.2-6woody2KDE core crypto libraries
ii kdelibs3-cups2.2.2-13.woody.8 KDE print system (CUPS support)

Konqueror could no longer display https:// URL's. I fell back to the

security updates that are arguably more serious than DSA-361.

Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just me? I see a couple of

I also have font problems since last security upgrade.
This is on an i386 (AMD) system running stock Woody kde version, but with
 XFree86 4.2.1 from http://www.fs.tum.de/~bunk/packages.
I haven't had time to investigate the problem further, but at least i know
for sure that the problem appeared after the upgrade.

Just a follow up:
I noticed tonight that my dual monitor setup was also broken (I mostly use
the second monitor only when I ssh and/or vnc to other computers, and
therefore I didn't notice this problem before).
I don't use Xinerama, just run the monitors independently of each others.
With the security upgraded version installed i only got the infamous grey
raw X background in the second monitor -no KDE menu, no background, no
nothing.

Reverting to:
ii kdelibs3 2.2.2-13.woody.7
got my system back to it's normal state.
