Most annoying of all bugs is Plasma crashing on virtual desktop switch, which happens every few minutes if you use desktops extensively: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286353 If you are not going to update packages to KDE SC 4.8, you should at least include a patch for this bug. Actually, the new kde-runtime git repository is a symbolic link to the old kdebase-runtime one; so checking out any of them is fine, however I recommend to use the new kde-runtime for obvious reasons. Also, Martin, note that the KDE SC is not just kde-runtime; there are more packages and you can follow the commits pushed to all of them (including the kde-extras and "krap" ones) using the pkg-kde-commits mailing list. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I hope this can be resolved soon. Same answer as above. Both will not be considered until 4.7.4 enters unstable. > Since KDE 4.7.4 is still in experimental despite IMHO working quite > well: Will Wheezy ship with KDE 4.6.5 and KDEPIM 4.4.5? We hope to get at least 4.7.4 in wheezy but have to wait for the release team's ok. You can follow the transition status at [1]. KDE 4.8 and KDEPIM 2
Dear Debian KDE/Qt packagers, Ok, so I ask: Any plans for KDE 4.8? (I looked in git for kdebase-runtime to see whether you are already active on it.) What about KDEPIM 2 - from what I read on kdepim and kdepim-users mailinglist it might be wise to still wait a little bit more. Since KDE 4.7.4 is still in experimental despite IMHO working quite well: Will Wheezy ship with KDE 4.6.5 and KDEPIM 4.4.5? I know some questions, especially the last question, might be too early to ask, so feel free to omit answering any of those. I am happy with KDE SC 4.7.4 and KDEPIM 4.4.5, but am just curious about 4.8. I fully understand when you take your time. To other readers of the list: I suggest leaving this to one question instead of asking again every month or so ;).
