0.14.4-5 is fine. You should avoid = 0.14.5-1 at all costs if you want to use

Hmm, a solution would also to simply not use ksynaptics. The driver itself 
will work, too, I assume.

Yeah, or just put old synaptics driver on hold with aptitude.

Last update of KDE 3.5.3 needs Ksynaptics 0.3 to be compile in order to have a 
well working Alps device.

Somebody could had this package in Sid distribution?

i can package it, if nobody already works on it.
Nobody seems to have done an ITP or a RFP atm.
