Oops.  I confused two different threads.  apt-get dist-upgrade probably
would work here...

I dont have error when install pakages but debian don't start.
however i have used apt-get upgrade now i try apt-get dselect-upgrade.

That's a very odd way to do an upgrade.  The command is:

apt-get dist-upgrade 

I have my doubts if it would work much better for him - I expect it would
still not update cupsys because the dependency on the library would force
removal of most of kde.

Did you upgrade xfree? I think xfree >= 4.3 is needed for KDE 3.2.2.
On my system xfree 4.3.0.dfsg.1-1 is running now.
