I packaged up xmms-arts...it's just called xmmsarts.  It's in both unstable
and on kde.debian.net.

for kde specific you can use noatun.

there's an arts plugin for xmms. i use it & it works fine.

i think i used xmms from testing or unstable, built the package and added that
