I'll just wait until things are updated in Sid - I already have a messy sources.list. :p BTW, sorry about my rant - I really like kvim.

Sorry about the rant. I just solved the problem by removing kvim and the / usr/bin/vim diversion.

When's kvim going to be updated?
The kvim currently in sid diverts the regular vim binary to vim.old, meaning if I start a konsole and type vim foo.gz, it doesn't decompress, because kvim's the wrong version. Somebody update kvim, TODAY!!!
