Bug#215992: kbabel crashes on opening a PO file (after todays kde packages update)
Hi, after todays update of KDE packages I have seen Kbabel crshing on opening several PO-Files. I followed the suggested URL: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121376 and moved ~/.kde/share/apps/kbabeldict/dbsearchengine away. After that Kbabel works again. Bug#289646: kbabel patched
severity 289646 important thanks mate Hi. I've uploaded a new kdesdk with the s/check/checkWord/ patch, so I'm lowering the severity of this bug. I'm leaving it open however, since kbabel was in fact using the kdelibs API as documented -- in theory kbabel was doing nothing wrong, so the problem would seem to be in kdelibs (and thus still unfixed at the root of the problem). Bug#289646: kbabel: crash with some .po file
I've also been having crashes using kbabel in Sarge (see #289646). I've had crashes with several po files now. The behavior is somewhat eratic: when I first had the crash, I could always reproduce it, now I find that sometimes the crash does not happen. Very likely my crashes are related to this BR. Hi Rafael, It looks like some of the files that belong in kbabel are actually in kbabel-dev, I will correct this issue in my next release, but in the meantime, apt-get install kbabel-dev should get you the files you need. - -James - -- James Michael Greenhalgh [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://opendoorsoftware.com open minds providing open source solutions -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+1hdegZMynI5GLOURAlKxAJ4yOxgNvrixJJQLBuZWrIGnU/E0CgCfdrfx D9eS8vpzR+zftPMXXuGCQVI= =clAy -END PGP SIGNATURE-
