Bug#265865: kdm doesn't run /etc/X11/Xsession.d

2004-09-01 Thread Emmanuel Halbwachs
Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.3.0-1
Followup-For: Bug #265865

Hello,

Intrigated by the keyword unreproductible, I just wanted to
say that after a sid upgrade, kdm doesn't seem to run the
script in /etc/X11session.d as I have no ssh-agent and no
numlockx.

I experienced this on my Debian boxes at work and at home.

Hope this helps and thanks for the good work.

Cheers,

Emmanuel

you're running kdm on a system which has xlibs without xinerama support,
but the kdm you installed was compiled on a system with xinerama.
  basically a package mismatch.

So how do you fix it? I have the same problem, and didn't do anything
more complicated than apt-get upgrade to get into this situation, so I
assume it's a transient problem with the packages in the archive.

The problem whos in version of kdelibs3. I did NOT upgrade kdelibs3 when i
upgrade kdm! When I get it, and when I upgrade kdelibs3 the kdm WORK OK!!!

So bu my mistake kdm didn't work. (OK package depends wasn't OK).

I offten use apt-get -d -u dist-upgrade; apt-get -u dist-upgrade and
aptitude. Form me this combination work fine.
