Hi,

I experience a seldom sudden/random non-function of my keyboard (Debian SID,
amd64). The keyboard stops working, I can't even alt-ctrl-f1 or anything. When
it happens, I was just switching between windows via alt-tab.
Everything else but the keyboard is working.

I am typing ~8 hours a day and often switch between windows. The incident
sometimes happens 0-3x a day (sometimes I have like 3 days without it).

The first time it happened was ~3 months ago, but not really sure. I tested
with a different keyboard, but experienced the same problem after a while.

To get the keyboard working again, I just have to restart the KDE session (via
mouse/menu). When being asked for the password to login, the keyboard works
again.

Does anyone know which process is responsible for keyboard input or how to
track the issue down ?

All I see with 'dmesg' is
[ 5028.662608] traps: parcimonie-appl[7200] trap int3 ip:7fdd89a83241 sp:
7ffd10b916e0 error:0 in libglib-2.0.so.0.5000.0[7fdd89a33000+110000]

5.6.1[7fcc2403e000+4500

But I am absolutely not sure, if this relates to the keyboard or my restarting
the KDE session.

.xsession-errors is so full of crap (without date/time), looking at it gives
no result.

Any idea ?

Regards, Tim
