The faq you mention tells very explicitely how best to uninstall KDE2 or KDE3 but is somewhat unclear on how best to install the new release. Hmm, you should be able to get kweather from the kdetoys module, unless kdetoys isn't provided wherever you're getting your KDE3 debs from. I've been getting them from Ralf and I don't see kdetoys there. I presume my sources.list tried to get KWeather from Debian testing which gave the dependency above. I'm glad Ralf has packaged most of the important pieces. I hope he's finally getting some rest and that he will finish Gideon next. KWeather is just a toy. I can wait. Thanks, Paul

Instead I'll build a sid version completely from scratch that can handle all the fontconfig problems that woody users don't have :-)) BTW I just added a backport from geramik-0.17 from unstable for gtk1.x. I've been up now for 27 hours and I think it's time for a break :-)) Ah, I've put up a new set of packages for apps like kgamma, k3b, kcdlabel, komba2, qtella and some others. Have a look for yourself. The arts/kdelibs/kdebase packages should be updated, too. I cleaned up the *.la file mess in the packages last night so those are now in a not-easy-to-get-in-a-better-state mode now.
