several package related bugs in kde4.22

2009-04-25 Thread Hans-J. Ullrich
Dear package-team,

I discovered several bugs in kde4.22. Due to the kde4-maintainers, these are
debian related bugs within its packages.

Could you please take a look at it?

These are the descriptions of the bugs:

 1. kickoff-widget: Using the kickoff-menu and want to logout the session,
the computer is not logging out, but shutting down completeley instead. This
happens also for transferred users (kde3 - kde4), as at fresh users, too.
Seems a bug for me.

---
2. Screensaver does not unlock. I suppose, this is a rights problem by the
application, which starts or unlocks the screensaver (I had the same problem
in kde3 to, where I had to set the sticky bit for root). In kde4 things are
handled in an other way, so I am a little bit lost, where to look.

---
3. HAL or solid is not mounting new cdroms or DVD-Roms. Let me please explain:
New CD-Roms or DVDs are detected and shown as new hardware. KDE offers me to
look with them using dolphin or digicam. But when I choose dolphin, the
dolphin window is empty. I checked, and discovered, the new cdrom is not
mounted. So hal does not mount the drive. I do not know, which package or
application is responsible for this, so if you know, please add a bugreport.
---

I am likely willing to send all reports as single ones, but in this case I
need your help, to know, which applications are involved.

Thank you for reading this, your attention and your help!

Best regards

Hans-J. Ullrich

This has been like this for a while now. Not very pleasant.
May work OK if confirmation of logut is enabled.
Or just, for now, disable all the options or logout from right-click.
