Bug#452353: linux-2.6: Radeon 8500 LE [Radeon R200 QL] drm and radeon modules fail to detect AGP video card
Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.22-4 Severity: normal Default operation of xserver fails because DRI locks system (disabling DRI works). This is probably because the video card in question (a Radeon 8500 LE / Radeon R200 QL) is not detected by the kernel drm module. This card worked on another system with a different AGP chipset so I suspect a driver issue with the chipset. apggart reports the chipset as 'VIA Twister-K/KT33x/KM133'. drm and radeon initialization in dmesg output below only happened after I used modprobe for the drm and radeon modules and, as you can see, it doesn't detect the video card at all. This appears to be the same bug as #392915 which was marked as fixed in 2.6.22-1 I have included drm and agp dmesg output, lspci and lspci -n listing and the output of lspci -vv. If any other information would be useful please let me know, or if this has been seen and fixed already (other than the bug above, for which this is probably a regression) and I should try another kernel from a repository other than testing, please let me know. Martin, I don't want to pester, but is there any progress from Intel on this? The current disk speed is pretty poor, considering my n2100 is meant to be a NAS. :/ Ross -- Ross Burton mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.burtonini.com./ PGP Fingerprint: 1A21 F5B0 D8D0 CFE3 81D4 E25A 2D09 E447 D0B4 33DF signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part

Bug#405232: include rt2400/rt2500/rt2570/rt2x00
These packages are probably technically ready to be included in linux-modules-extra. However, rt2x00 was merged into Linux 2.6.24-rc1, and the "legacy" drivers are not actively maintained upstream, so I don't know think this is really a good idea.
