User request to enable CONFIG_IEEE80211_CRYPT_TKIP (#470558)
Hi Maximilian A user has requested that we enable CONFIG_IEEE80211_CRYPT_TKIP for arm/ixp4xx [1]. Would you like to enable this option in the top config or should I just do it in config/arm/config.ixp4xx? Seems like it may be appropriate for the top config. Thanks. ACPI_PROCFS_POWER: what about lenny? (#463253)
Hi, I'm not really sure all needed package will be fixed for Lenny. Current xfce4-battery-plugin has a sysfs patch, but it's not really working flawlessly and upstream is working on a hal-based branch (wich wont be out before lenny). Other stuff includes acpi/acpitool wich are not using sysfs currently. Will this option be enabled in Lenny kernels, and can we assume this in battery plugin workflow? Bug#466933: Debian-arm: kernel BUG at fs/inode.c:250!
Installing the new kernel linux-image-2.6.24-1-ixp4xx_2.6.24-4_arm.deb seems to have fixed the crashing problem. The box has been running through since Feb. 28 without a crash. I'm still getting error messages like this about once a day: Mar 12 19:50:03 slug kernel: Bad page state in process 'rrdtool' Mar 12 19:50:03 slug kernel: page:c02e2ac0 flags:0x mapping:0040 map count:0 count:0 Mar 12 19:50:03 slug kernel: Trying to fix it up, but a reboot is needed The process causing the "Bad page state" is different from occurence to occurence, but always part of the shell script running every 10 minutes via a cron job. The job runs through without errors, however. These messages also occured with the old kernel that crashed regularly. Don't know if they had anything to do with the crashes, but at least the new kernel is handling this problem better. Should the case be closed?
