Bug#562205: Found in version should be 2.6.32-1 + severity normal seems misleading
Found in version should be 2.6.32-1 not 2.6.32-2. Its the 2.6.32-1 kernel that has problem. Besides, If anyone can guaranty I will be able to fix my problem OK for normal, but so far, I'm still skeptical: without the mdt devices, I cannot flash any new kernel version. Bug#562205: linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-orion5x: Not more mtd device = impossible to flash new kernel
On 24/12/2009 16:14, Martin Michlmayr wrote: - use the serial console (as documented on my web page). Just in case as I do not want to make a full reinstall. I have in /boot initrd.img-2.6.31-1-orion5x and vmlinuz-2.6.31-1-orion5x that works as it flashed the .32-1. How can I recreate correct uboot image from this? Reading flash-kernel, I can probably rewrite it to skip the mtd check but I would rather be sure that this will be understood by uboot rather using kermit and uboot command rather than writing it directly to mtd devices as it is done via a live system. -- eric -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. This bug is causing my package's tests to fail, which causes it to FTBFS: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=558981 I think the test case is broken; why should two watches that don't exist at the same time have unique ids? You might as well test: the manpage makes it sound like it should be unique for each filename. and if the test case is broken, then I don't understand why this only fails on hppa. I'm saying there is no guarantee in the manual page about what order watch ids will be assigned in, and that it is unreasonable to expect unique to mean unique among all watches that ever existed for this handle. The assignments could vary depending on the architecture or on the phase of the moon. The test cases should not make any assertions about them, other than that any two watches *that exist at the same time* have different ids. However, it does look like the implementation is intended to assign sequential ids, so this may indicate a bug in the implementation. But it shouldn't block you. okay, thanks, I'll correct the tests.
