Bug#743230: no sound from external speakers after upgrade (hda_intel driver)

2014-03-31 Thread Stéphane Glondu
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.13.7-1
Severity: important

Dear maintainer,

With the recent upgrade of the kernel, from 3.13.5-1 to 3.13.7-1, I do
no longer have sound coming out of my speakers. The following
suspicious message appears in logs:

> hda-intel :00:07.0: spurious response 0x10de0002:0x3, last cmd=0x301f7a57

After downgrading to 3.13.5-1, sound comes back.

Note: this report was made from the system with the downgraded kernel.

Cheers,

Stéphane

Bug#742962: Ditto

2014-03-31 Thread Chris Chiappa
Got hit by the same thing. No idea about a fix, but FYI after you get
the lv running, you should just be able to exit the initramfs shell
(^D or "exit") and the normal startup should commence.

Problem with packages version(on m68k architecture, but also on amd64 and maybe somewhere else)

2014-03-31 Thread Ondrej Riha
Problem with packages version(on m68k architecture, but also on amd64 and maybe
somewhere else)
linux-headers-2.6-* and linux-image-2.6-* and linux-doc-2.6-* for m68k have
dummy package in which version doesn't relate with official repository of
debian builds.
Like linux-headers-2.6-amiga (3.0.0+40)
Something likelinux-headers-2.6-686-pae(3.2+46~bpo60+1 in backports or 3.2+46:
i386 in stable)
This also happened in _amd64_ build, but when clicked on it, then it shows that
such package never existed or there shouldn't.After that when I searched again
there was version which was different when I clicked. And that happened
repeatedly.
Something is broken in Debian.
