Also firmware-iwlwifi (20180825+dfsg-1~bpo9+1) got installed. A few minutes after reboot my host hang completely and I needed to reboot it again. This happened a few times more and I had to go back to perfectly working linux-image-4.9.0-8-amd64. Below is some info about my environment. I hope that this issue can be fixed before next Debian stable comes out. According to https://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_mainlining_effort#Status_Matrix the S/PDIF is available already in 4.17, so it would be nice to activate it also for the stable kernel.
