Bug#896165: ITP: bpftool -- utility for querying and updating BPF objects

2020-03-21 Thread Christian Barcenas
Control: reassign -1 wnpp
Control: notfound -1 linux/4.16.5-1
Control: affects -1 src:linux
Control: retitle ITP: bpftool -- utility for querying and updating BPF objects
Control: owner -1 !

Hi all, I'm restructuring this as an ITP.

I'm very keen to get bpftool in Debian as well, now that the copyright
concerns are resolved.

I'll work with the kernel team to get it packaged. Thanks Noah for all the
work so far.

Christian

* Package name: bpftool
  Version : 5.5.8
Upstream Author : Various Linux kernel developers
* URL : https://www.kernel.org/
* License : GPL-2.0-only OR BSD-2-Clause
  Programming Lang: C
Description : utility for querying and updating BPF objects

bpftool is a utility for querying and updating BPF objects on the system.

Packaging bpftool will improve the experience of developing and deploying
BPF-backed software on Debian systems.

bpftool is actively developed and is maintained as part of the upstream kernel.

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/tools/bpf/bpftool

Therefore, the Debian kernel source package (src:linux) is a natural place for
the bpftool binary package.

Bug#954440: linux-image-amd64: Dependency missing

2020-03-21 Thread Maximilian Stein
Package: linux-image-amd64
Version: 4.19+105+deb10u3~bpo9+1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

I am using the version of linux-image-amd64 available on backports.
Unfortunately, upgrading from 4.19+105+deb10u1~bpo9+1 to the current
version 4.19+105+deb10u3~bpo9+1 fails as the dependency package
linux-image-4.19.0-0.bpo.8-amd64 is unavailable.

This is also indicated in the package search:
https://packages.debian.org/stretch-backports/linux-image-amd64

Thanks for your commitment!

Cheers,
Maximilian

Bug#953802: linux-headers-5.4.0-0.bpo.3-common: confirmation

2020-03-21 Thread wim
Package: linux-headers-5.4.0-0.bpo.3-common
Followup-For: Bug #953802

Hello,

I find the same error messages in my logs,
random screen freezes seem to happen.

the tty keeps working, it is only the X11 default session that freezes,

after switching back and forward from a tty i can login again,
but the screen then is the same as before, frozen,
with only a mouse pointer to move.

hth,
Wim

Bug#953569:

2020-03-21 Thread Jason A. Donenfeld
Hi again,

It looks like you didn't actually take these patches from the updated
tree I sent you, but rather used the outdated .zip I had posted prior.
Please try again using the tree I linked earlier:

https://git.zx2c4.com/wireguard-linux/log/?h=backport-5.5.y

Thanks,
Jason
