Bug#972973: Please re-enable SECO HDMI CEC driver (CONFIG_VIDEO_SECO_CEC)

2020-10-26 Thread Sébastien Noel

Package: src:linux
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Could you please re-enable the option CONFIG_VIDEO_SECO_CEC ?
I already did requested this via bug #951543,
it worked for a time, but since linux-5.8 it seems you disabled it again
:'(

# grep -i seco /boot/config-5.7.0-0.bpo.2-amd64
CONFIG_VIDEO_SECO_CEC=m

$ grep -i seco /boot/config-5.8.0-0.bpo.2-amd64
# CONFIG_CEC_SECO is not set

Could you explain why you did remove this module ?

Best regards,
Sébastien

Hi Salvatore,

do you know which Linux kernel version will be the next LTS supported by
kernel.org - 5.9, 5.10 or ?

Greg Kroah-Hartman confirmed that Linux 5.10 is going to be the next
LTS release.

Kind regards

#960195 linux-image-5.6.0-1-amd64: Please enable CONFIG_INTEL_TXT=y

2020-10-26 Thread Timo Lindfors

Hi,

tboot is now in testing, is there anything I could do to make it easier to
enable this config option in src:linux? It's such hassle for the sysadmin
to build their own kernels that it would be really nice to be able to use
tboot with official Debian kernels. (It would be especially nice since the
cryptographic hashes would be verifiable by a third-party more easily).
