Bug#714868: Newer versions on github
I see that the PTS page speak about a 1.0.19 version, but the newest version now is the 1.0.40. The homepage in PTS is http://stgt.sourceforge.net/releases/, but I think newer versions are now here : https://github.com/fujita/tgt/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#498021: This problem is common on Eeepc
At least on Asus Eeepc 701, the SD card reader seems not a true SDHC reader. But it works with the default OS. It even has worked on mine two times, I don't know why it suddenly breaks. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#481419: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686: zd12&&rw with new mac80211 does not work with Yakumo QuickWLAN USB (ZyDAS)
Package: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686 Version: 2.6.25-2 Severity: normal This time, I'll try to make a usefull report :-* I use a USB wireless adapter : Yakumo uickWLAN USB 2.0, with a ZyDAS chipset, zd1211. I use it with a WPA AP, running with OpenWRT on a Lynksys wrt54GS. It works with the kernels from 2.6.18 to 2.6.24. It does not initialise, nor scan with 2.6.25. I saw thiat this driver (zd1211rw) has changed to the more generic mac80211 layer from Deviscape. The symptome is : the link LED stays off, wpa_supplicant cannot initiate scan, and there is no network connection. -- Package-specific info: filename: /lib/modules/2.6.25-2-686/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/zd1211rw/zd1211rw.ko version:1.0 author: Daniel Drake author: Ulrich Kunitz description:USB driver for devices with the ZD1211 chip. license:GPL srcversion: D9B25B58E2203D71BECF7BE alias: [... lots of aliases ...] depends:mac80211,usbcore,firmware_class vermagic: 2.6.25-2-686 SMP mod_unload 686 The difference in 2.6.24 wich works is : filename: /lib/modules/2.6.24-1-686/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/zd1211rw/zd1211rw.ko version:1.0 author: Daniel Drake author: Ulrich Kunitz description:USB driver for devices with the ZD1211 chip. license:GPL srcversion: 7D1B5B65930FED9BD9BA337 alias: [... lots of aliases ...] depends:mac80211,usbcore,firmware_class depends:usbcore,ieee80211softmac,ieee80211,firmware_class vermagic: 2.6.24-1-686 SMP mod_unload 686 The initialisation logs in kern.log : - With 2.6.25 : May 15 21:19:07 basse kernel: zd1211rw 3-2:1.0: no suspend for driver zd1211rw? Bug#384251: reiserfs: memory leak in data=journal mode
Package: kernel-latest-2.6-i386 Severity: important On all 2.6.8 kernels, even on 2.6.16 from backports.org, there's a memory leak with reiserfs in data=journal mode (mount option). I use it on a mail relay, quite a lot of filesystem activity, my 2Go of memory where filled in 2-3h. I couldn't see any process using it, even with all stopped. Only a reboot clean it. I saw a lot of buffer_head in slabinfo. Finaly, I saw a mail speaking about data=journal wich I had. Wihout it, no more leaks ! I found patchs for it, but I saw that it is already in kernel 2.6.17 (unstable). Extract of changelog for 2.6.12-rc1, from where, I don't know, at least suze ! http://groups.google.fr/group/fa.linux.kernel/browse_thread/thread/48c257521e17003a/ae51032fd3e77b15?lnk=st&q=reiserfs+%22data%3Djournal%22+memory+leak&rnum=1&hl=fr#ae51032fd3e77b15 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [PATCH] orphaned pagecache memleak fix Chris found that with data journaling a reiserfs pagecache may be truncate while still pinned. The truncation removes the page->mapping, but the page is still listed in the VM queues because it still has buffers. Then during the journaling process, a buffer is marked dirty and that sets the PG_dirty bitflag as well (in mark_buffer_dirty). After that the page is leaked because it's both dirty and without a mapping. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [PATCH] reiserfs: make sure data=journal buffers are cleaned on free In data=journal mode, when blocks are freed and their buffers are dirty, reiserfs can remove them from the transaction without cleaning them. These buffers never get cleaned, resulting in an unfreeable page. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-3-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
