Bug#535450: Booting sometimes stops at T42p

2010-05-29 Thread sasha mal
I don't have T42p any more, thus cannot do experiments with it that would
confirm or deny the bug presence in other configurations.

Bug#535450: Booting sometimes stops at T42p

2010-03-04 Thread sasha mal
Hm. I need madwifi constantly and cannot afford unloading it and waiting for
weeks for the bug to occur. I could unload the other ones, though.

Best regards
Sasha.

Bug#535450: Booting sometimes stops at T42p

The machine remains partially responsive: pressing keys on the keyboard still
produces some symbols on the screen.
The behaviour happens every couple of weeks without any apparent reason. The
behaviour was present neither in sarge nor in etch, but it is present in the
 current lenny.

The machine is a thinkpad laptop T42p 2373 KYG. The used distribution is
lenny. The additionally installed modules are tp-smapi, madwifi and
 cisco-vpnc.

 The screenshots are attached.

Sorry for the late response.

Do these hangs still occur with the external modules are not loaded?

Cheers,
Moritz
