Severity: normal

The chipset nvidia mcp89 used in apple 2010 macbookpro is not properly
configured by debian installer. This block the installation process.
This bug has been reported and fixed on launchpad.net, see bug #576601.
A patch has been created by Iwamatsu and can be found here:
http://www.nigauri.org/~iwamatsu/trash/macbook71.patch
Iwamatsu said in his patch: For some reason, MCP89 on MacBook 7,1 doesn't work
with ahci, use ata_generic instead.
This bug has been reported from an ubuntu-lucid install due to this
incompatibility of current debian kernel.

What a pleasure to run debian... and squeeze has so much improvement
 regarding lenny.
You can finally close this bug, sorry to make you reopen it. I was
 impatient.
Thank you for your great help.
