Bug#677475: Sun Fire X4140 with NVIDIA Corporation MCP55 Ethernetcards and bridge interface resets on boot
I have same issue. I ue xcp-xapi with openvswitch. Had to disconnect all connected interfaces to start my machine. I've the following lines at the top of my /etc/init.d/openvswitch as a workaround (seems to help): /sbin/ifconfig eth0 up # (Debian BUG#677475) /sbin/ifconfig eth1 up # (Debian BUG#677475) sleep 1 # (Debian BUG#677475) Regards! -- Paweł Tomulik, tel. +48 22 234 7374 Instytut Techniki Lotniczej i Mechaniki Stosowanej Politechnika Warszawska -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Re: Bug#677475: Sun Fire X4140 with NVIDIA Corporation MCP55 Ethernetcards and bridge interface resets on boot
Hello, I have simillar issue (on same HW) when using openvswitch (with xcp-xapi), the trick with ifconifg eth0 up helped me too a little bit. My setup worked initially (for longer than half a day), but once during shutdown the system hung (with message like task shutdown blocked for more than 120 secs... after Will now restart). After that, i was unable to start it, until applied the abovementioned hack.
