this also happens-ish on my desktop: it becomes sluggish to unusable
for a couple of up to minutes after zooming on the map in Firefox a
few times in quick succession. It also is not restricted to Intel…

According to DevRef §3.1.4 that’s your job as maintainer, but, in
this instance, it was easy enough. I am not qualified enough (not
knowledgeable about the entire kernel, DR-whatever-i-or-m, X.org,
