reassigning to sysvinit
control: reassign -1 src:linux control: tags -1 + moreinfo unreproducible Hi, Oliver, can you confirm this only happens on systems with bluetooth hardware enabled? Can you install a kernel from sid and see if its fixed there? cheers, Holger signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Re: Bug#729707: reassigning to sysvinit
In at least one instance of the problem, the machine (HP Proliant Microserver n54L) does not have any Bluetooth hardware (or at least none that shows in either lspci or lsusb output). What kernel from sid would you suggest? I suppose I'll have to unpin my sysvinit for the tests too? -- Olivier Mehani sht...@ssji.net PGP fingerprint: 4435 CF6A 7C8D DD9B E2DE F5F9 F012 A6E2 98C6 6655 Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed on emails sent or received unencrypted. signature.asc Description: Digital signature

I have this same model and have seen no such problems under wheezy. (And no, it doesn't have any Bluetooth hardware by default.) What kernel from sid would you suggest? I suppose I'll have to unpin my sysvinit for the tests too? The fact that you're reporting problems on a variety of different machines and kernel versions tells me that one of two things is the case: 1. You are treating several different bugs as the same thing. 2. You have applied the same unusual configuration to all of these machines, for example an out-of-tree kernel module or kernel parameter. Unless you can identify this unusual configuration, let's assume there are multiple bugs and take them one at a time. So, select one particular broken system and kernel version and provide the boot log as far as it goes (photographs are OK but a kernel log via netconsole is better if you can set that up).
