Please translate the program and/or manpage strings of APT
Hi, You are noted as the last translator of the program translations for Debian's beloved package-manager apt and it's associated files. Many of these strings are included in the associated library and you and our users will therefore encounter them even without ever having used (or heard of) apt-get, and instead see them for example in aptitude, synaptics or even software-center. The English template has been changed, and now some messages are marked fuzzy in your translation or are missing. languagetranslated fuzzy untranslated last-revision --- ru 591 13 9 2012-01-06 The apt family has also a bunch of manpages managed by po4a, so if you or someone else from your l10n-team wants to give it a shot, feel free to contact us. (more about that can be found in d-i18n mail for this call) I would be grateful if you could take the time and update it. Given the size of these translations we happily accept also partial updates of course. You can find your po for the program translation here: ru.po: http://anonscm.debian.org/loggerhead/apt/debian-sid/files/head:/po/ or for a sneak-peak at the manpages pot: http://anonscm.debian.org/loggerhead/apt/debian-sid/files/head:/doc/po/ If you prefer I can sent these files directly to you of course, I am just trying to avoid that this mail is eaten by some sort of protection layer because of it's (then relatively enormous) size. Please send the updated file to me, or submit it as a wishlist bug against apt. If you have any questions feel free to drop me line. There is no direct deadline, as I am thanks to some personal issues pretty late to the party and therefore take responsibility for talking the release team into freeze exceptions for translation updates if needed. Update of cs.po
Dear all, First of all, we have received your translation. Thanks a lot for taking time to translate Debconf messages into your native language. This is much appreciated by all the members of the Openstack packaging team. Since we are close to a freeze, and to avoid the burden of the bureaucracy (eg: I'd have to ask for a freeze exception), I have uploaded today, a new version of Nova containing your Debconf translations. The problem is that recently, we had to add some more debconf texts. I feel sorry that we had to do this during the translation phase, and I'd like to add a special sorry for our marathon man and cheese master Christian, who was coordinating the translation effort (I quite destroyed his work...). These new strings have been reviewed by debian-l10n-english, and are in the version of nova that I have uploaded to SID. It'd be super cool to have these new texts also translated also (currently, we don't have a single full translation). You will be able to find the new .po files for your language, including the new strings to be translated, in here: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=openstack/nova.git;a=tree;f=debian/po;h=7dffb9639e7b8a0168f3d4db3729b6eaec82cd2b;hb=82355acaa17f42eb9ea76fcff62ab906af517e55 For people not used to gitweb: do a right click on the raw link, do save as. Of course, you can also find your .po from the nova source package in SID. Note that there's not so many strings to translate, we're just asking for an URL, a login and a password. If I have enough translations finished, I'll upload a version next Friday, before the freeze. Otherwise, I will wait for some more time, and ask for a freeze exception (these are accepted for some period of time even after the freeze, for debconf translations and documentation). Thanks again for your translations, and hoping that you wont mind too much that the work has been split in 2, Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-l10n-russian-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Quoting Thomas Goirand (z...@debian.org): If I have enough translations finished, I'll upload a version next Friday, before the freeze. Otherwise, I will wait for some more time, and ask for a freeze exception (these are accepted for some period of time even after the freeze, for debconf translations and documentation). It's obviously very short, particularly for those team who try having QA processes involving reviews, etc. Even for a few strings. So, well, we'll *need* another upload if you upload Friday. So, maybe it is not useful to upload Friday. -- signature.asc Description: Digital signature
