Hi,
just to let you know that your patch updates are fine and I could build the
package
There is still an issue I need to fix about embedded libraries (bzip2 and
pcre3) and I should be able to push to experimental (waiting for en d of
freeze).

Thanks again

Uploaded to experimental (due to freeze policy). Thanks for your work

On the contrary it sounds really in line what we are doing.

Perhaps it makes more sense to split the imaging task a bit. Also a
subset of the imaging task could be helpful for users. We are doing
this in the general bio task as well where for instance bio-ngs is a
subset for next generation sequencing. The principle is that anything
that might be useful for users should be done.

:-)

Since I sponsored quite some package of yours I wonder whether you might
consider some of them good fits for the imaging and imaging-dev task.
It does not matter in what team a package is maintained - anything can
be put in our tasks files.

Kind regards

   Andreas.

Re: ImageJ plugin for Orthanc

Hi Sebastien,

sorry for my silence for longer than usual. I'm recovering slowly from
my vacation (basically for the sake of OpenStreetMap work after the trip
;-)).

I had a look into the package. It builds fine and is lintian clean and
I simply assume that it is working (I have no idea how I could
personally test). However, the source contains a code copy of the
package

   libjson-simple-java

which should be avoided. Could you imagine to rather "link" (I think
linking is not the proper term in the Java world) against this library
rather than using the code copy. I'm quite confident that you can get
help for this at debian-j...@lists.debian.org. To be really sure that
the code copy is not used I'd recommend to use Files-Excluded in
d/copyright.

Feel free to ask if something remains unclear and please be patient
with my slow response time.

Kind regards

 Andreas.

Pff. The DebConf network team has pulled wires and has setup wifi in
2008 in a 5* hotel in Argentina[1] for about 250 participants and last
year a camp with different houses was connected from scratch last year
in Switzerland (DebConf 13). I know that Arne Wichmann was involved and
perhaps I can ask him for hints what to do and how to convince hotel
owners (they do also have soft skills not only technical skills ;-)).

Sounds promising but if not we should ask DebConf people for further
help.

Kind regards

 Andreas.

When he posted, I thought the problem had been solved.

I think the issue is not the length but where is the "internet box" to
pull a cable (if upstairs...)

I talked with the owner, and I will go to the hotel to try to setup a
wifi router myself and check connectivity in the room we will use (as
well as power lan if I can get one for a try).

Can they specify "too far" in numbers of meters? I can not really believe
this.

I can get one (at least mine, but I can see to get an other one). I

Though I gonna investigate any other solution, can you please come with
