Unfortunately not, although the BTS administrators seem to consider this a feature request rather than a bug report. See #103803. That's primarily because it's worked like this for years, and because people shouldn't ever need this as the bugs shouldn't get wrongly closed and then neglected for a month. Theoretically, bugs shouldn't reappear in newer releases of software, too :) Besides, then we'd have to adjust the age of the bug, and then we'd have a discrepancy between the dates on the logged e-mails and that time counter. Not to mention the mess this would cause with merged bugs, which are already badly handled in some cases (reopening causes all submitters to merge, or something like that; it's been filed). I try to pack glibwww, the name of the packages are glibwww1 and
glibwww-dev. The shared lib is known as libglibwww.so.1.0.0.
But I have problems with understandment the shlibs-system. I have under
debian the shlibs files with the contents.

shlibs.local:
libglibwww 0.2 libglibwww1 ( 0.2-0), libglibwww1 ( 0.2-99)

What is going wrong?
I want to pack gnome-common, several skripts to create gnome2 source- trees.
There are no binaries and no libs in this package and I this error
message, too

Hi! I am planning to package a Python script that will aid another package I already have in Debian. Since I don't really know much about Python I wonder what packages I need to depend on. Is it enough to depend on python-base? Bugs mean nothing (as to how good or bad person you are, I mean), bugs are bugs and the BTS is there to work with them. If an old bug keeps coming back it means that I didn't fix it right the first time. Just that. :-) If bug #109629 (archived) is the same as bug #117116 (alive) just tell the submitter of #109629 that you are working on it, if you like. Already fixed it, but I don't like the hack. It is a problem I have with gettext, BTW ;-) Upstream is trying to be helpful, but access to machines other than i386 is sadly very limited to both of us. Google won't help either. modules package
Are there any resources anywhere to help me create a package for kernel modules that will work with make-kpkg? Or is it best just to look at other modules packages and borrow? -- Duncan Findlay
