If they're so tightly coupled, why not just merge them into one package?

Well, normally, there is cvs.debian.org.

But

a) I think it isn't the right place for such a small package

and

b) it seems that it is closed anyway

Request for sponsor: Pencam

2003-03-25 Thread Andy Grafham

I am looking for a maintainer to sponsor my adoption of the Pencam package. I
have packaged the latest version (0.67), and tested it on my camera and it
works perfectly.

Since the last package was released, the executable generated by the makefile has been renamed from "pencam" to "pencam2". How should a packager deal with that? I have not renamed the package, but it could be confusing to users that installing the pencam package does not install an executable called pencam.

Cheers

Andy

Hello mentors and Debian hackers,

I am co-maintaining a small package (nautilus-media) with another
newbie maintainer. The best way to keep our work in sync would
probably be setting up a CVS repository for that package. But since
I'm behind a dialup line, setting it up on my box is not an option.

So can anyone tell me, where to turn in search of CVS space?

I don't know about the second question, but yes, hkp keyservers don't
seem to like keys with more than 1 subkey.

> Are my choices of keysize, algorithm and subkey usage good choices?

The reason I use RSA for signatures instead of DSA is because I don't
trust DSA's keysize. I have a 2048 bit RSA master (signing) key, and
a 2048 bit ElGamal encrypt/decrypt key (this is the 1 subkey).

> What's the proper usage for and of subkeys?

1 master signing key, 1 decryption subkey. This is what happens if you
choose RSA sign and encrypt I believe, it creates 2 RSA keys. Same with
just choosing ElGamal (although you have to add a subkey manually there,
I think. Key generation is not a daily thing for me ;)

> If possible, what's the best way to include photo ID in a key/subkey?

Sorry, but I don't know the best answer to this as I only very recently
got a good picture of me taken and need to look this up later myself :p

A platform Debian runs on (a "port").

http://www.debian.org/ports/ lists them all, and there you can read:

SuperH (``sh'')

This is a fairly new port to Hitachi SuperH processors.
