This is at odds with Adam referring to "my package". Hence my
question.

If this was merely the result of not checking the text of a RFS
template to see if it makes sense, all the more reason to do that in
future.

it's a NMU (*Non* Maintainer Upload), as the version clearly states.

And, BTW, it's been already uploaded.

Are you actually the maintainer? The current package version
(0.13-1.1) lists Jonas Gennart <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> as the
package maintainer.

There is no RFH, RFA, or O bug reported against this package by the
maintainer.

The synopsis of the package should not be capitalised (Developer's
Reference §6.2.2, "The package synopsis, or short description"
http://www.debian.org/doc/developers-reference/ch-best-pkging-practices#s-bpp-pkg-synopsis>).

Nor should the synopsis repeat itself, saying the same thing twice.

A better synopsis for the package would be:

Yes: 1.5-1 *was* uploaded, to the mentors repository. That means an
unknown number have already got 1.5-1 (I even explicitly asked them to
do so), and releasing a changed package without also changing the
release number would be needlessly confusing.

In a real sense, once I upload a revision of a package to mentors.d.n
it *is* released, even if it doesn't make it into Debian. So any
further changes made should be to a subsequent release number.

There have been complaints from DDs in the past on this very forum
about re-uploading to mentors.d.n a different package with the same
release number. So I don't do that.

Just generate one package, with symlinks in the proper directories. Take
a look at packages such as livehttpheaders or venkman.

Note that in the future, there will be a canonical place for extensions:
/usr/share/mozilla/extensions.

I decided to build 3 different packages because Icedove and Iceweasel
can use same extension files. But maybe you are right, my packaging
might be a bit confusing. And it may not be too ugly solution to
install same little files in two different dirs (if user installs

Howdy mentors,

Package name: lojban-common
Version:1.5-2
Upstream Author:Logical Language Group, Inc.
URL:http://www.lojban.org/

It builds the binary package 'lojban-common', which has the
following description:

Description: commonly-used wordlists for the Lojban language
Lojban is a constructed human language, designed to have a logical
foundation, a regular, logical, and unambigious structure, phonetic
spelling, and to be culturally neutral.
 .
This package contains the current versions of the gismu, cmavo,

The package passes 'lintian' with no warnings or errors. It is on

Yes! FreeMat is chartered to go beyond MATLAB to include features such as a

This turned out to be a mix-up with a previously-created

After 'rm ../build-area/*', the build process worked again (by
creating the upstream source tarball from scratch).
