I heavily rewrote the config and postinst script. Do you need the
git-url to the verion I use? The -10 version does not have this problem:
http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/source/a/aiccu.html

RFS: enna

2010-01-05 Thread Davide Cavalca
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "enna".

* Package name: enna
  Version : 0.4.0-1
Upstream Author : The Enna Project
* URL : http://enna.geexbox.org
* License : LGPL v2.1 or later
  Section : video

It builds these binary packages:
enna - a powerful MediaCenter application based on EFL
enna-dbg - debugging symbols for enna
enna-theme - data files for Enna, a MediaCenter application

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 563528

My motivation for maintaining this package is:
I work with upstream on the GeeXboX project (http://geexbox.org) and would
like to package Enna for Debian and maintain it. Enna is a mediacenter
application based on EFL which aims to be lightweight and simple to use.
The current version allows the user to browse and play music and video
files, browse pictures and play photo slideshows, read comics and know the
current weather. Moreover, thanks to the use of libvalhalla, Enna is able
to build a database of all the available media files and can fetch
additional information from the Internet (such as covers, fan arts, movie
synopsis, etc.) to enrich the user experience.

You can refer to our press release at
http://gxben.wordpress.com/2010/01/03/first-public-enna-0-4-0-release/ for
more details or visit http://enna.geexbox.org for a full list of features
and some cute screenshots.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/e/enna
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/e/enna/enna_0.4.0-1.dsc

Please note that Enna requires libplayer and libvalhalla (which itself
requires libnfo). These three packages are all on mentors awaiting for a
sponsor (I filed RFS for them a while ago but nobody replied).

libnfo (#560043):
- RFS: http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2009/12/msg00118.html
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/libnfo

main contrib non-free
- dget

libplayer (#560048):

- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/libplayer
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/libplayer/libplayer_1.0.0-2.dsc

libvalhalla (#560047):
- RFS: http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2009/12/msg00225.html
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/libvalhalla
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/libvalhalla/libvalhalla_1.0.0-2.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me. Even if you
aren't inclined to upload, any criticism is welcome.

Please CC me on any replies.

Kind regards
 Davide Cavalca

I'm going to look into needed libraries first to make it possible to upload

Yes, your new files / changes would be very interested. Where can I
find the updated debian directory?

Another thing is: an update to debhelper (>=5) or better is needed.
And there are some changes needed to come to "Standards-Version" 3.8.3.

That is clear. But to say more I must test it by myself.

Please can you say me which flavour of Debian do you use (Lenny,

Re: Aiccu: piuparts error

2010-01-05 Thread Joachim Wiedorn
Hello Reinier,

- dpkg
  you: 1.15.5.5 // for me: Lenny/Sid=1.15.5.4 Squeeze=1.15.5.5
- debhelper
  you: 7.4.10 // for me: Lenny/Sid=7.4.10 Squeeze=7.4.10
- devscripts
  you: 2.10.59// for me: Lenny/Sid=2.10.55 Squeeze=2.10.59
- dh-make
  you: 0.50 // for me: Lenny/Sid=0.50 Squeeze=0.50
- piuparts
  you: 0.38 // for me: Lenny/Sid=0.31 Squeeze=0.38

You see I have updated the most devel-tools on Lenny.

On my Machine in two real systems (i386 and amd64) and I have tested
your master branch from 05.01.2010 with the following results:

Lenny/Sid (i386): no errors - install/purge/reinstall fine!
Squeeze (amd64): no errors - install/purge/reinstall fine!

But I have still not tested with piuparts. I will do it tomorrow. But
one word before this work: I have tested piuparts local with another,
very small package with piuparts 0.31 and 0.38 and with both versions I
never had a run without errors! So perhaps you have the same problem. I
suppose that your package will run without errors on a piuparts of the
debian servers.

So I think it would be a good idea to upload this package as
experimental and let it check with piuparts on debian server.

I have found another problem:

your binary packages always get the version "20070115" without the
added number (-11)! The reason is the second changelog file
debian/aiccu.changelog which is detected first. You can rename this
file to ChangeLog (i.e.) and add it to the file debian/docs as
"debian/ChangeLog".

Fondest regards,
 Joachim Wiedorn

2010-01-05 Thread Miguel Landaeta
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "graphy".

* Package name: graphy
  Version : 1.0+dfsg-1
  Upstream Author : Google Inc.
* URL : http://code.google.com/p/graphy/
* License : Apache-2.0
  Section : python

It builds these binary packages:
python-graphy - chart generation library for Python

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 563849

My motivation for maintaining this package is:
I plan to package the utility namebench for Debian and this library
is the only Build-Depend not available currently in main. So, I would
like to maintain this library under the Python Modules Packaging Team.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/graphy
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/graphy/graphy_1.0+dfsg-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards,
