Re: RFS: drraw (updated package) [3rd try]

2010-05-31 Thread Mohammad Ebrahim Mohammadi Panah
Hi dear mentors,

Find the new version of drraw package here:
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/d/drraw/drraw_2.2b2-3.dsc

I've fixed what Paul said and re-uploaded. Just I haven't uploaded any
screenshots of drraw yet. I also preferred a more-informant debian/watch
file, so I didn't change it.

The new drraw package closes bug #579991, has switched to
dpkg-source format 3.0 quilt, conforms to version 3.8.4 of the standard,
and has been upgraded to use debhelper 7.0.50 features.

Package: drraw
Section: web
Homepage: http://web.taranis.org/drraw/
Description: A simple web based presentation front-end for RRDtool
drraw is a simple web based presentation front-end for RRDtool that allows you
to interactively build graphs of your own design. A graph definition can be
turned into a template which may be applied to many Round Robin Database files.
drraw specializes in providing an easy mean of displaying data stored with
RRDtool and does not care about how the data is collected, making it a great
 complement to other RRDtool front-ends.

I can't commit to sponsoring, but here is a review:

You can drop the patch/unpatch dependencies from debian/rules.

You can drop the first and third lines from debian/watch.

Please send the patches upstream if you haven't already.

Please remove the dpatch headers and switch to using DEP-3 headers in
 the patches:

 http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep3/

You might want to ask upstream to switch to either the 3-clause or
 2-clause BSD licenses.

The upstream CHANGES file looks like it should be renamed to NEWS:

 http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html#NEWS-File
 http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html#Change-Logs

You might want to switch to debhelper 7:

 https://penta.debconf.org/dc9_schedule/events/418.en.html

Please add all the relevant debtags and remove the existing ones:

 http://debtags.alioth.debian.org/edit.html?pkg=drraw

 Please upload a screenshot:

My apologies, after visiting the upstream website I can see that it is
a GUI layer that uses optipng/advpng. Please improve the short
description, for one thing, cross-platform does not need to be
mentioned.

Help wanted: mediawiki package.

2010-05-31 Thread Romain Beauxis
Hi !

I maintain the mediawiki and mediawiki-extensions packages.
I have not enough time these days to do all the updates I
would like on these packages.

Right now, there is a security update [1] waiting to be packaged
in unstable and patched for stable.

There is also a shortcoming new upstream release.

I would be very happy to sponsor any interested contributor
on these packages and add a DM flag if needed.

Please contant me in private if you are interested..

Romain
