Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: minor

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package phpvirtualbox-4.1. I use the
package on my own on a headless server. It connects to vbox via it's soap
interface.
The virtualbox instance itself does not need to run on the same server as this
package is running on. So there is no direct dependency to the virtualbox
package in debian.
Because debian is often used on servers, I think this package is worth to be
easily distributed to other users, too.

RFS for phpvirtualbox-4.0 has been delayed due to discussion:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2012/02/msg00172.html

 * Package name: phpvirtualbox-4.1
   Version : 7-1
   Upstream Author : Ian Moore (imoor...@yahoo.com)
 * URL : http://code.google.com/p/phpvirtualbox/downloads/list
 * License : GPLv3
   Section : admin

It builds those binary packages:

phpvirtualbox-4.1 - web based interface for administering virtualbox

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/phpvirtualbox-4.1

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/phpvirtualbox-4.1/phpvirtualbox-4.1_7-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards,

Marcus Osdoba

Hi Bas,

Ansgar Burchardt commented on 15 February 2012 on RFS 659991 that the build
status page doesn't qualify as a useful URL for the package. But I see now

or can this RFS be closed ?

2012-07-29 Thread Tobias Hansen
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: important

 Dear mentors,

  I am looking for a sponsor for my patch fixing the RC bug #673770/#672940 in
the package libcap2.
  I asked in #673770 on July 6 for someone to upload the fix and the maintainer
didn't object.

 * Package name: libcap2
   Version : 1:2.22-1.2
   Section : libs

  It builds those binary packages:

libcap-dev - development libraries and header files for libcap2
 libcap2- support for getting/setting POSIX.1e capabilities
 libcap2-bin - basic utility programs for using capabilities
 libpam-cap - PAM module for implementing capabilities

  To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/libc/libcap2/libcap2_2.22-1.2.dsc

  Changes since the last upload:

libcap2 (1:2.22-1.2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * Add preinst script for libcap2-bin to properly remove PAM module
on upgrade from libcap2-bin = 1:2.22-1. (Closes: #673770)

dpkg-source is supposed to set the same mtime on all patched files, so
this shouldn't be a problem.
The fact is that not all the prerequisites are used to build the

Make CDBS and debhelper not build one binary package

2012-07-29 Thread P. J. McDermott
Hi,

Is there a way to make CDBS and its debhelper class not build a
particular binary package? With debhelper alone, I'd just use the
-N/--no-package option.

I've tried adding that option to DH_OPTIONS, and I've tried overriding
DEB_ALL_PACKAGES after the CDBS class include lines as follows (where
binary-package is the package I don't want to build):

DEB_ALL_PACKAGES := $(subst binary-package,,$(strip $(shell \
dh_listpackages 2/dev/null || dh_listpackages)))

Both still resulted in binary-package being built.

Thanks,

[RC bug fix] Sponsor requested for updated package

2012-07-29 Thread Noel David Torres TaƱo
Hi all

Some time ago it was filed a 'serious' bug against the package kstars-data-
extra-tycho2 that I maintain. The seriousness of the bug was related to the
possibility of copyright infringement. Bug number is #681654.

I've cleared the doubt with a change to the Copyright file that now explicites
the terms under which original data were obtained.

The uploaded version resolves this RC bug (1.1r1-7) and also an updated
italian translation (1.1r1-6). No other changes, so this should be quite
straightforward.

It builds those binary packages:

kstars-data-extra-tycho2 - Tycho-2 star catalog for KStars

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/kstars-data-extra-tycho2

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
  dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/kstars-data-extra-
tycho2/kstars-data-extra-tycho2_1.1r1-7.dsc

RFS: cinnamon/1.5.2-1 [ITP] -- Innovative and comfortable desktop

2012-07-29 Thread Nicolas Bourdaud
retitle 680546 RFS: cinnamon/1.5.2-1 [ITP]
thanks

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package cinnamon. This is the
desktop environment developed by the Linux Mint team which is basically
a fork of gnome-shell in order to have the feeling of GNOME2 while
having the modern infrastructure of GNOME3. This package requires its
window manager called muffin (that needs to be sponsored as well. see
its RFS: #680544)

 * Package name: cinnamon
   Version : 1.5.2-1
   Upstream Author : Linux Mint r...@linuxmint.com
 * URL : http://cinnamon.linuxmint.com
 * License : GPL-2+
   Section : x11

It builds those binary packages:

cinnamon - Innovative and comfortable desktop
cinnamon-common - Innovative and comfortable desktop (Common data files)
cinnamon-dbg - Innovative and comfortable desktop (Debugging symbols)

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:
  http://mentors.debian.net/package/cinnamon

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/cinnamon/cinnamon_1.5.2-1.dsc

This is a new package but if you had reviewed the previous request for
sponsor 20 days ago, this package has an updated upstream.
It builds cleanly in a chrooted environment.

Regards,

Nicolas
