Package ghostwriter version 1.7.3-1 is in NEW now,
and the package at mentors is not newer (2018-10-14) than the package in NEW
(2018-10-14),
so there is currently no package to sponsor.

https://ftp-master.debian.org/new/ghostwriter_1.7.3-1.html
https://mentors.debian.net/package/ghostwriter

Please remove the package from mentors or mark it "needs sponsor = no".
If for some reason you need to replace the package in NEW,
then you can upload an updated package to mentors
and feel free to reopen this RFS 910913 or open a new RFS.--- End Message ---

I understand. I thought the same thing in a first time. And nobody

   * Package name: 4pane

There is also a git repo:

The upload mostly changes to the latest debhelper and policy versions, with
consequent lintian fixes. However it also switches 4pane to use the GTK3 flavour
of wxwidgets3.0: see #894663.

This is a request for a review and upload of the update. The amended package
builds and works, and is lintian-clean.

Changes since the last upload:

4pane (5.0-2) unstable; urgency=medium

   * Depend on the gtk+3 version of wxWidgets: see #894663
   * Override testsuite-autopkgtest-missing
   * Add an upstream/metadata file
   * Move the appdata.xml file from appdata/ to metadata/
   * Change some links from http: to https:
   * Update to the latest debhelper and policy versions

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "node-yamljs"

 * Package name: node-yamljs
   Version : 0.3.0+dfsg-1
   Upstream Author : Jeremy Faivre
 * License : expat
   Section : javascript

It builds those binary packages:

node-yamljs - JavaScript YAML 1.2 Parser & Encoder

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/node-yamljs

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/n/node-yamljs/node-yamljs_0.3.0+dfsg-1.dsc

or via salsa:

https://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-javascript/node-yamljs.git

Thanks for your time! Any review is appreciated.

Regards,
  Andreas Moog

I'm not sure if we have enough reason to ship with an embedded copy of
termbox, while at the same time make ftp-master happy.
Termbox is a library for general purpose instead of specific to mle.

My recommendation is to package termbox as an individual package and
block mle by that ITP.

Feel free to ask the mentors list if you encountered any problem.

Oops. Thanks for the hint. Then you should put it to the
Vcs-Git and Vcs-Browser fields in debian/control.

[uploaded] Re: RFS: ranger/1.9.2-1 (new upstream release)

2018-10-14 Thread Mo Zhou
Hi Vern Sun,

Thank you very much for you contribution to Debian!
I have uploaded this package to ftp-master with some further modifications,
to completely drop every bit about python2 and switch to py3.
As confirmed previously, I added myself to Uploaders to co-maint this package.
Please check git repo for detail.

Your autopkgtest scripts are working well, expect that you missed a
runtime dependency "procpc". I've already fixed that.

And thanks to Herbert Fortes for the hints!

P.S. Generally sending RFS to mentors/BTS is enough and there is no need
to CC other Chinese developers individually ... unless you know each
other in the real world.

Best.

ranger (1.9.2-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  [ Mo Zhou ]
  * Set up a project repository on Debian Salsa:
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/ranger
  * Add myself to uploaders.
  * Bump debhelper compat level to 11.
  * Fix Vcs-* fields and update homepage URL.
  * Move from python2 to python3:
- Completely drop python2 from rules.
- Drop all python2 dependencies.
* Patch makefile to use python3 tools. (+ make-use-py3tools.patch)
* Patch upstream python files to refer python3 in shebang.
  * Export TERM=linux in rules instead of upstream Makefile.
  * Export HOME=/tmp/ in rules to avoid test failure due to /sbuild-nonexistent
  * Autopkgtest test case missed runtime dependency: procps.
  * Convert copyright into machine-readable format.

  [ Vern Sun ]
  * New upstream release. (Closes: #908982)
  * Move to Python 3. (Closes: #910401)
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ch-python3.html
  * Enable sensible-pager again, no offence.
  * New CI tests, by reference to the GNU Screen.

Bug#910913: RFS: ghostwriter/1.7.3-1 [ITP]

2018-10-14 Thread Herbert Fortes

Thanks for reviewing!

I am neither the upstream nor the person who originally uploaded to mentors.d.n,
though I am doing the most fixing part for the package for it to get into
Debian...

OK. I am reading files from 1.7.3-4 and there is only Sebastien
name in it.

- debian/copyright seems to need an update.

Ouch, there are new assets not included in COPYING. I guess it's now blocked on
upstream.

 Different author from the project.

Do we need to list everyone?

If there is a file with something like:

Copyright  foo
License

It must be in debian/copyright. In the 1.7.3 upstream tarball:

And more. They must go to debian/copyright.

The entry about 'Files: debian/*': the maintainer of the Debian package
here. debian/control says Sebastien CHAVAUX

As noone is the upstream the patch files also need - no must - a header.
See debian/patches/clean-deps.patch

dpkg-shlibdeps says it's a useless dependency  # Looks like a description
