Bug#1059200: RFS: elenv/0.1.0+git20231211.94cf71e-1 -- Emacs Lisp Environment Detection Library

2023-12-20 Thread Xiyue Deng
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "elenv":

 * Package name : elenv
   Version  : 0.1.0+git20231211.94cf71e-1
   Upstream contact : Jen-Chieh Shen
 * URL  : https://github.com/jcs-elpa/elenv
 * License  : GPL-3+
 * Vcs  : https://salsa.debian.org/emacsen-team/elenv
   Section  : editors

The source builds the following binary packages:

  elpa-elenv - Emacs Lisp Environment Detection Library

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/elenv/

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/e/elenv/elenv_0.1.0+git20231211.94cf71e-1.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

 elenv (0.1.0+git20231211.94cf71e-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Sync to latest upstream master (94cf71e).
 - Fix lint warnings.
 - Add debugging flag.

Notes: according to the tracker page[1], it requires another source-only
upload for it to be allowed to migrate to testing, so I took this chance
to also updated to a newer upstream snapshot with more added functions.

I actually believe both these are caused by pandoc - I have just reported
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1059146 - (for the
lintian error) - I mention in the bug that it is already reported
upstream here:

https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/6809

- and the other (the warning) is already reported as bug too:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1053777

and I believe this is fixed in a later pandoc (maybe 3.1.7?) than what
is packaged in Debian - please see this bug for the discussion and
commits made to pandoc:

https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/9020

Morning Tobias,

Thanks for granting me write access to the nanomsg git. In error I saw this
email and assumed I had
upload also, so I daftly removed the package from mentors. It all works out for
the best, I will
change it to target the experimental pocket as you point out is correct for
such transitions and do
another RFS.

I recently adopted 'bglibs' and have have upload now, but no git maintainer
access. If you happen to
have a free minute, could you add this for me?

Thanks for again assisting in my Debian learning and do appreciate it.

Regards

Phil

Yes.

The Architecture field is not a relationships field. See
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html#architecture
for its syntax.
