Bug#830788: RFS: ifstat/1.1-9

Why isn't there a Breaks from the right arping to network-manager? FTR, other distributions (RHEL/Fedora at least) are using the iproute implementation. Probably that is the best way to go then. Mhh, on Fedora the two implementations are available actually (but not on RHEL) and the iproute one is being installed by default.

(Maybe add instructions to a README.Debian file.) Sounds like a case for alternatives, are the two implementations command-line compatible? It seems to be dead upstream (last release is from 2004). The iproute2 package (which is still maintained upstream) also has a ifstat binary, I've added that binary by mistake in the last upload I've made. So I see two solutions here, either I'm removing that binary from the iproute2 package (and we are back to the situation before my boggus upload) or we are removing the ifstat package from debian. Note iproute2 is linux only though. Any thoughts about this? Regards, Laurent Bigonville

I made an Alioth request to be part of the Gnome team and sent 2 mails to the debian-gtk-gnome list back in mid october but didn't got any answer. That's why I pushed it to collab-maint. We are planning to switch to git for the maintenance of our packages anyway, moving the repository afterwards would be trivial. If you want to put the package under the team maintenance you can add Debian GNOME Maintainers pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org as maintainer and add you to the uploaders (or the opposite if you prefer). For alioth membership, I guess the best is to pass on IRC (#debian-gnome on the OFTC network) Also I think you should also enable the introspection support to allow other language that C to be able to use the library. This would require adding a new gir1.2-gom-1.0 package. The API documentation might also be interesting for some people, I guess it could be added to the -dev package. No problem. I'll do that this week-end (changed my computer so I have to reinstall some tools before. Thanks! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-mentors-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Re: RFS: NMU for mrd6 package
Hi, If you know the maintainer is MIA, maybe you should ask -qa to orphan his packages, then do a qa-upload of this, instead of an NMU. As it stands, given that your bug is of mormal priority, I don't think an NMU is warranted. I have sent an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I wait for an answer. The bug has a normal severity because nobody reviews it. I think that the bug severity could be raised to important since it's broke partially the plug-in system. Required package in build-deps?
