Dear Sylvestre,

thank you for your ITS (intent to sponsor). I changed the debian/control
according to [1], registered at alioth and applied to join the debian
science project. I uploaded the corrected package to mentors again and
will put a git version to alioth

Where is it available ?

uploaded it to: git://git.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/cba.git

Thanks.
I fixed some issues and uploaded it.
By the way, make clean fails to remove src/cba src/gui/cba-gtk

Sylvestre

Thanks a lot for uploading and pour l'aide !

 libwxgtk2.8-dev. This seems to be mentioned in the upstream README:

 In your build-depends you only have:

 Build-Depends: debhelper (= 7)

 There is also one lintian warning:

 W: cba source: newer-standards-version 3.8.4 (current is 3.8.0)

 After installing libwxgtk2.8-dev, the package builds.

Sorry, it was pointed out to me on IRC that my lintian was out of date.
The current standards version is 3.9.0.

dear jordan,

thank you for giving cba a trial and for the hint concerning the build
deps,
(i was thinking that it is determined automatically), i now added
libwxgtk2.8-dev manually to the depends in the control file, i hope
this helps.

kind regards,

pierrot

it doesnt work at all, if i deinstall wxwidgets-dev library the source
package builds without complains, is there any possibility to add build
dependencies manually? how come the standards version of the
control-file generated by dh-make is 3.8.4, but lintian wants 3.9.0,
does this mean dh-make is not up-to-date? changing it manually seems not
to be the way, but it appeases lintian at least. kind regards, pierrot.

The upload would fix these bugs: 561090

My motivation for maintaining this package is: small but useful engineering
tool.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:

contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/cba/cba_0.3.6-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

2010-02-17 Thread pierrot

Dear mentors, debian-science,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package cba.

* Package name: cba
  Version : 0.3.5-1
  Upstream Author : me
* URL : http://cbeam.sourceforge.net
* License : gpl
  Section : science

It builds these binary packages:
cba - continuous beam analysis

beam analysis is an often performed task in the field of civil
engineering (if that doesn´t sound captivating to you, save your time
and don´t bother checking the package).
in this new version i added a small material and section database (xml),
to make structural design of beams made of homogeneous material (such as
steel or wood) possible.

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 561090

My motivation for maintaining this package is:
as an engineer you run tight on redmond rails, software for structural
design under linux is rare. the same goes for every other special field
software i suppose. a bit more of it could help preventing penguins
and apaches from scuffling to work sadly.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/cba
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free

- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/cba/cba_0.3.5-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my packages for calculix.

* Package names   : calculix-ccx, calculix-cgx
  Version : 2.0.0-1
  Upstream Author : pierrot idf.dres...@gmx.net
* URL : http://www.calculix.de
* License : gpl
  Section : science

It builds these binary packages:

ccx - calculix crunchix - finite element program (solver)
cgx - calculix graphix - finite element program (pre/postprocessor)

The upload would fix these bugs: #506518

My motivation for maintaining this package is:

calculix is a small but very powerful and well documented 3d fea
program, which is maintained by a crowd of enthusiasts, it runs
platform-independent, connects to many other fea tools (e.g. gmsh)
and would fit nicely into debian

The packages can be found on mentors.debian.net:

- - URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/calculix-ccx
- - Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- - dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/calculix-ccx/calculix-ccx_2.0.0-1.dsc

- - URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/calculix-cgx
- - Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- - dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/calculix-cgx/calculix-cgx_2.0.0-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded these packages for me.

Kind regards
