This is for experimental. Probably it was confusing because
mentors.debian.net does not separately track unstable and
experimental.

 The upload would fix these bugs: 499002, 507476, 524309, 540001, 576887,

The motivation: help upstream to test v1.7.4 now that it has entered the
release candidate phase. Gerrit is on vacation so it is up to you[1].

If this is for SID, has the RT agreed for such an upload?

If that's not the case yet, I think that expo.debian.net should include
this notion and display it correctly.

RFS: git 1.7.4-rc0

2010-12-30 Thread Jonathan Nieder
Hi,

I am looking to upload version 1:1.7.4~rc0-0.1 of the package git to
experimental. This is a friendly non-maintainer upload (see Bug#600566)
and if uploaded should go to DELAYED/7.

It builds these binary packages:
git- fast, scalable, distributed revision control system
git-all- fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (all subpacka
git-arch - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (arch interop
git-core - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (obsolete)
git-cvs- fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (cvs interope
git-daemon-run - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system
(git-daemon s
git-doc- fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (documentatio

git-svn- fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (svn interope
gitk - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (revision tre
gitweb - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (web interfac

The upload would fix these bugs: 499002, 507476, 524309, 540001, 576887,
577471, 578752, 581691, 583699, 585725, 588103, 598245, 600566, 600785, 606975,
607044

The motivation: help upstream to test v1.7.4 now that it has entered the
release candidate phase. Gerrit is on vacation so it is up to you[1].

The package can be found in the usual places:
- git://repo.or.cz/debian-git/jrn.git proposed-updates
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/git/git_1.7.4~rc0-0.1.dsc

I would be glad if someone finds time to look it over.

Regards,
Jonathan
