Why? We already have several tools in the archive to deal with the
proprietary iPod protocol, I fail to see how this would be any different.

I personally would not sponsor it with that name.

I personally wouldn't consider sponsoring something that only does the
non-standard protocol used by Samsung. If it also supported the USB
DFU protocol it might be worth considering.
