Bug#392635: rosegarden: always repeats incoming notes
Package: rosegarden Version: 1:1.2.4-1 Severity: normal With Rosegarden running, all notes I play on my piano connected via MIDI are instantly sent back to the piano. This is really annoying because the piano then plays them twice at the same time, resulting in nasty sounds. It does not matter whether I am actually recording from the piano or not. If there is an option to turn this behavior off, I have not found it. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (200, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17sreichelt Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages rosegarden depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.4-3 core libraries and binaries for al ii khelpcenter 4:3.5.4-2 help center for KDE ii libasound2 1.0.12-1ALSA library ii libc62.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries pn libfontconfig1 (no description available) ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-13 GCC support library ii libjack0.100.0-0 0.101.1-1 JACK Audio Connection Kit (librari ii liblircclient0 0.8.0-6 LIRC client library ii liblo0 0.23-2.1Lightweight OSC library ii liblrdf0 0.4.0-1 a library to manipulate RDF files ii libqt3-mt3:3.3.6-4 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-13The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 pn libx11-6 (no description available) ii libxft2 2.1.8.2-8 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii rosegarden-data 1:1.2.4-1 music editor and MIDI/audio sequen Versions of packages rosegarden recommends: ii cmt [ladspa-plugin] 1.15-3.1 Computer Music Toolkit (cmt) a col ii jackd 0.101.1-1 JACK Audio Connection Kit (server ii swh-plugins [ladspa-plugin] 0.4.14-1.1 Steve Harris's LADSPA plugins -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#233984: marked as done (rosegarden4: Notation editor not allowing rests at end of measure in 12/8)
Your message dated Thu, 12 Oct 2006 17:30:21 -0400 with message-id <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and subject line closing due to inactivity has caused the attached Bug report to be marked as done. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: rosegarden4 Version: 0.9.6-2 Severity: normal This is rather odd . . . When using the notation editor to write a tune in 12/8, the notation editor will not allow the fourth measure to end with an (eighth) rest. If you try, and then begin the next (5th) measure with a note, the notation editor will pull that note into the fourth measure and beam it with the last note of that measure. I was not able to reproduce this in 4/4, and was not able to reproduce it at the boundary between measures 1 and 2 when in 12/8. Only at the boundary between measures 4 and 5 does this seem to occur. -c -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux stax 2.4.23.040214a #1 Sat Feb 14 09:19:28 EST 2004 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages rosegarden4 depends on: ii jackd 0.94.0-1 JACK Audio Connection Kit (server ii kdelibs4 4:3.1.5-1 KDE core libraries ii khelpcenter4:3.1.5-2 KDE Help Center ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.16-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libasound2 1.0.1-1 Advanced Linux Sound Architecture ii libaudio2 1.6b-1The Network Audio System (NAS). I changed my lines 189ff in editor/src/Widget.c to XtVaSetValues(topBox, XtNleft, (XtPointer) XawChainLeft, XtNright, (XtPointer) XawChainRight, XtNtop,(XtPointer) XawChainTop, XtNbottom, (XtPointer) XawChainTop, XtNhorizDistance, (XtPointer) 0, XtNvertDistance, (XtPointer) 0, XtNborderWidth, (XtPointer) 0, (XtPointer) NULL); and now the editor starts. Of course, that is just an accident until the other XtVa... calls are fixed, but I will not do that at 3 in the morning. Oh, and there is a build-dependecy on xaw3dg-dev missing.
