Bug#422076: Re: Bug#422076: Can not start jackd, fails with Illegal instruction

2007-05-04 Thread mihkel
I don't remember :)
Actually I don't use jack that often. Last
version that I remember working properly was 0.101.1-2.

Did the same happen with jackd 0.103.0-1?

Bug#422076: Re: Bug#422076: Can not start jackd, fails with Illegal instruction

2007-05-04 Thread mihkel
I installed 0.103.0-1 and jack will start.
Does this mean that i
can't use jackd 0.103.0-2 and newer anymore unless I upgrade my
CPU?

Bug#422076: Re: Bug#422076: Can not start jackd, fails with Illegal instruction

2007-05-04 Thread Daniel James

Hi Mihkel,

I installed 0.103.0-1 and jack will start.

Could you post the output of:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

please?

I believe these optimisations require SSE or 3DNow! to be available on
your CPU. If your CPU is older than Pentium III, it may not have them.

Cheers!

Daniel

jack-audio-connection-kit override disparity

2007-05-04 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

libjack0.100.0-dev_0.103.0-3_all.deb: package says section is libs, override
says libdevel.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated

Debian-Packages of Ardour_2.0 final

2007-05-04 Thread Klaus-M. Klingsporn
To whom it may concern:

I just built Packages for Debian testing (they should work in stable as
well) of the final version of Ardour-2.0
You find them and the sources at:

http://apt.klaumikli.de/testing

I mainly recompiled the packages from Luke Yelavich for Ubuntu-feisty
and adjusted the package-version-numbering for Debian.

Bug#422289: -m3dnow -msse

2007-05-04 Thread Mike O'Connor
It looks like:

CFLAGS += -m3dnow -msse

was recently added to debian/rules. Those flags would not be valid
outside of i686.

Dear Free,

my binary-package is compiled against the dapper libraries, it is not
pgp-signed and has an unofficial 0.5 number, but if you recompile the
patched source-package it should work. In my binary-package there are
at least all language-files.

If you are interested in, I can recompile it for Debian-testing by
myself; and some day - I hope - I will also get this pgp-stuff
managed ;-)
