Cannot insert mailmerge database field "next record"

2005-02-23 Thread Chris Lale
I have tried both the Sarge and Sid versions of OOo.
I cannot correctly insert a new record with Insert -> Fields -> Other ->
Database -> Next record. The dialog box does not give me access to a
field - only its parent OOo spreadsheet. The resulting inserted field
looks like this:

   Next record:Ticket numbers.Sheet1
Subsequent inserted record fields in the same document do not print. On
documents produced with older versions of OOo, the "Next record" field
looks like this:

   Next record:Ticket numbers.Sheet1.text
where "text" is the field name of the data to insert. I cannot find a
reference to this problem in the list or Debian bugs or the OOo website.
Am I doing something wrong? OOo help says " The records that you want to
include must be selected in the data source view." I clicked on the
column heading "text" and all the column data below was highlighted
before I inserted "Next record". I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Regards,
Chris Lale

Bug#296560: /etc/bash_completion.d/openoffice: csv files not recognized

2005-02-23 Thread David Schmitt
Package: openoffice.org-debian-files
Version: 1.1.3-5+1
Severity: minor
File: /etc/bash_completion.d/openoffice

Dear OOTeam!

Openoffice can open .csv (Comma Seperated Values) Files, it'd be great if
those were also included in the COMPREPLY. Looking at
/etc/bash_completion.d/openoffice, this should be trivially archived by
adding another line with

compgen -G "${cur}*.csv"

to the list.

Thank you for your time and excellent work!

Re: Bug#270284: openoffice does not start anymore!

2005-02-23 Thread moltis
Happened to me as well (Win XP SP2, OOo1.1.4). Problem was OOo config
file became corrupt after system freeze/reset. This config file is
stored in the
user's registry:

\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu
Exit OOo and OOo quickstarter, then delete the file. It will
automatically be recreated
when you restart OOo.
