porting debian on powerpc64 (ibm pseries)
hi, my job made me very near to a couple of ibm powerpc64. i'll have full control on both of them for months. one of them is going to run linux (suse, at the moment), but my own personal wish is to make debian run on it and maybe to start a port. what i have done: 1. i started peeking http://linuxppc64.org 2. i patched the kernel 3. i patched binutils 4. i didn't patch modutils (i don't want modules now) what i have to do: 1. compile the kernel 2. lots of thing i still don't even imagine as i understood i need a cross compiler. i usually work on i386. how do i setup it? i need a lot of suggestions. thanks cavok -[ Domenico Andreoli, aka cavok --[ http://filibusta.crema.unimi.it/~cavok/gpgkey.asc ---[ 3A0F 2F80 F79C 678A 8936 4FEE 0677 9033 A20E BC50 pgpotOAxN0XxH.pgp Description: PGP signature
