Hi and sorry for my bad english. You're right! Anyway, i'm a graphic designer. For my job I need a rule, a pencil, a sheet of paper, and unfortunely the Adobe tools. :) i MUST to view flash website because -as you known- Adobe fix some standards for the web market. And, for your consideration, every three days i want to visit You tube, Vimeo website, myspace, and so on web services that use a flash tecnology. Many people use this services, every day. All stupids? Now, I appreciate debian and the power of open source. I use Blender into my debian-box and it is 2x much faster than macosX into my powerbook. i's beautiful. Anyway, you right. I need to shutdown my debian, when i MUST to visit flash websites. Repeat: i must. I hope that the future is better. Thank you. Hi list. Sorry for my bad english. Into my powerbook 1,67, i have debian lenny testing with 2 user: normal user and root. I not istall GDM and i can open X with the command startx. my problem is that the normal user not have a simple command as ifconfig. Bash reply me that the command not exist! When i login with root, the command exist instead! I'll like to connect to internet by bash and use irssi or lynx (with my user)! I must to modify the sudoers file, but where is it? And what i do? hello everybody, is always me, and this is my 3th question on this list. Sorry for my BAD, BAD, BAD english :-(. My keyboard layout is not correct for my powerbook 1,67 ghz, with italian keyboard layout, lenny testing and Gnome. I try to change the keyboard layout with the panel of Gnome [system/preferences/keyboard] I choose the macbook- macbookpro layout. but nothing. what can i do? thank you. Hello everybody! I'm a new(be) linux powerpc user. I install debian ethc into my powerbook G4 1,67 Ghz, 2 Gb of RAM, ati mobility radeon 9700. Now! I have maaany trouble, first: my english, second: I'm from italy :P. So, i take you my questions: 1 boot: it is slow! The computer search the connections. How i can speed up the boot start? 2 power management: The battery is low in 1 hour if i use gnome. 1 Hour and 30 minutes if i use a bash terminal. Into macOSX 3 hours (bt OFF, wifi OFF, display on minimal brightness) 3: wireless: i think that is correctly installed, gnome network manager display the hardware, but it is not work! Please help me.
