Re: g3 and sleeping time
# uname -a Linux 2.4.18-newpmac #1 Thu Mar 14 22:44:49 EST 2002 ppc 740/750 GNU/Linux Hi, my box is going sleeping 10 minutes after idle, I just want to know if it is a way to configure this. Yup, this must have changed just recently, it does it for my pismo as well: Linux amadeus 2.4.19-pre10-ben0 #1 Thu Dec 12 15:20:53 MST 2002 ppc unknown Sleeping as in entering power save mode (power LED flashing), or just sleeping as in display blanks ?? There wasn't anything in the kernel to put it to power save mode after some idle time in older kernels, and I doubt there's such a feature now. Michael

Shouldn't something like this be handled under /etc/power/pwrctl? jas.

Do you have pbbuttonsd installed? I'm not aware of anything else doing this. If so, you want to edit /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf . -- Earthling Michel Dänzer (MrCooper)/ Debian GNU/Linux (powerpc) developer XFree86 and DRI project member / CS student, Free Software enthusiast
