Re: $RANDOM_GMAIL_USER wants to chat

Dear listmasters,

We are getting more and more of these emails, would it be very hard to
filter them out? They sure make no sense, and have no place, in a
mailing list. The pattern seems quite clear, and thus, should be easy to
block:

- Subject is $RANDOM_GMAIL_USER wants to chat
- From has @gmail.com in it

Thanks in advance!

Just for those following along at home, this (and a few other rules)
have already been added.[1] However, we're always looking for better
rules, so if you can check out the subversion repository at
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-listmaster/trunk/spamassassin_config/
and submit patches to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If you do not start doing something realistic about the NVIDIA drivers
you are going to destroy your installed user base.

What, specifically, is unrealistic about what we're currently doing with
them?

If you want to help with the nvidia drivers, #438409, #443870, #44195,
and others are all looking for people who can convince nvidia to fix
the actual bugs, since none of us have the source code to these
drivers.

I'm sure the nvidia maintainers would love to see patches for all of
those bugs.

Hello,
Graphics card drivers are not usually created by distributions, we just
package other peoples work. So Debian itself would not be the party to
query but rather the upstream developer or the device manufactuer who
can release the technical spec to help everyone.
hope that explains,

Yay! Thankyou listmasters, um listmasters and listmistresses, err
listpersoniods.

Thanks anyway, I've got an inkling how hard that job is and we only
notice when you haven't fixed it (yet).
